Gold Medal

I am a Los Angeles Job Corps student, and I am training in Desktop Publishing-1.
In the SkillsUSA competition I gave a 3-5 minute presentation, talking about the Promotional Bulletin Board my teammates and I created.
I talked about brainstorming, planning, designing the Promotional Bulletin Board.
This was a great experience for me. I never thought I could make it this far in a national competition. In the future I plan to go back to school and have a career as a graphic designer.

Gold Medal

I am a graphics design student at AFOC. After retiring, I enrolled at AFOC to learn the latest technology in digital design. In addition to honing my skills in design, by particapating in SkillsUSA, I learned a lot about teamwork, networking, personal presentation and winning. I was a member of SkillsUSA for the past 2 years. Last year I participated in SkillsUSA. Under the guidence of Miss Gayle Brodie, our team at AFOC won medals in regional, state and National competitions. On a personal level SkillsUSA has been challenging, but it has also been very rewarding.
